Collection: Soak Off Gel

As World Champion Nail Design 2023 and INJA juror, Anela Mucic curates Studio Amelie's complete Soak-Off range. Unlike classic hard gels, all products in this category can be gently removed with acetone instead of being elaborately filed off – faster to apply and gentler on the natural nail plate, especially during refill appointments and for sensitive clients.

Which Soak-Off range suits your project?

  • Color Gels: Soak Off Color Gel (130+ shades), Autumn Edition 2026 (13 new seasonal colors) and Soak Off Nude Gel (18 camouflage shades)
  • Base Gels: Rubber Base Gel (flexible standard base), Soak Off Builder Base (2-in-1 hybrid) and Strong Builder Gel (maximum stability, 3 shades)
  • Effect Gels: Cat Eye Soak Off Gel – magnetic 3D effect, pigmented or as an overlay
  • Sets & Collections: Old Money Collection, Eternal Glow, Midnight Allure, Rubber Spark Base Set – pre-curated color combinations

Anela's Pro Tip

"In my daily studio work, I use the Soak Off Builder Base for quick refill appointments – base and build in one step saves time without compromising durability. For clients with particularly sensitive nails, Soak Off Nude Gel is my first choice: subtle coverage that still looks well-groomed. And for Cat Eye, the base color often decides: On dark colors, I choose the transparent overlay because the magnetic effect is most intense there."Anela Mucic, World Champion Nail Design 2023 & INJA Juror

What matters in a Soak-Off system

A good Soak-Off system does not sacrifice stability just because it is easy to remove. Rubber Base Gel and Strong Builder Gel are both designed for reliable adhesion and dimensional stability, but differ in application: Rubber Base is suitable for classic building, Strong Builder Gel especially for short nails with high stability requirements. All color gels and bases in this category are HEMA- and Di-HEMA-free.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Soak-Off gels and classic hard gels?
Soak-Off gels can be dissolved with acetone, hard gels must be filed off. This makes Soak-Off systems gentler on the natural nail plate and faster for refill appointments.

Which base is suitable for short, sensitive natural nails?
For short nails with high stability requirements, Strong Builder Gel is recommended. For sensitive nails without heavy use, Soak Off Builder Base or Rubber Base Gel is often sufficient.

Do I need a special magnet for the Cat-Eye effect?
Yes, both for the pigmented Cat-Eye colors and for the transparent overlay, a Cat-Eye magnet is required to make the shifting effect visible.

Can I combine the sets with individual colors from the range?
Yes, Old Money Collection, Eternal Glow, Midnight Allure and Rubber Spark Base Set can be easily combined with individual color gels or bases from the rest of the range.

Are all Soak-Off products HEMA-free?
The base gels (Rubber Base Gel, Strong Builder Gel, Soak Off Builder Base) are formulated HEMA- and Di-HEMA-free. The exact ingredients of each individual product can be found on the respective product page.
