Frequently Asked Questions

In what order do I apply the preparation products?
First, Nail Prep for dehydrating and degreasing the natural nail, then Primer (acid-free or with acid depending on adhesion needs) for the actual adhesion preparation. Only then follows the modeling with gel, acrylic, or acrygel.

Which primer should I choose – with or without acid?
For most customers, the gentle, methacrylic acid-free Ultrabond Primer is completely sufficient. For stubborn adhesion problems or difficult nail types, the stronger Primer with acid is the more reliable choice.

What is the difference between Cleaner and Acetone?
Cleaner removes the slight inhibition layer (dispersion layer) after curing for a streak-free finish. Acetone is significantly stronger and is used for complete removal of modelings (soak-off) as well as for intensive degreasing before preparation.
