My tips for long-lasting cat eye nails – how to achieve the perfect look!

I love cat eye nails - they are elegant, mystical and simply a real eye-catcher! ✨ But I also know that sometimes it's not that easy to get the perfect magnetic effect and make it last. That's why I want to share my best tips with you today!

1. Proper preparation – the key to long shelf life

Before I apply the Cat Eye Soak Off Gel , I make sure that the natural nail or the modeling is perfectly prepared:
✔ Carefully remove cuticles and mattify the natural nail – this improves adhesion enormously!
✔ Apply base coat and cure well – a smooth base is super important.
✔ If necessary, use a layer of paint as a base – this gives the design more depth.

2. The magnet trick – How to achieve the perfect cat eye effect

The wow effect only comes with the magnet – and this is where the technique comes into play! I do it like this:
✔ I hold the magnet over the gel for about 2-5 seconds before I harden it.
✔ Depending on the angle and distance, different patterns emerge! I often experiment a bit before I decide.
✔ I work in thin layers – too much gel causes the effect to quickly “run”.
✔ Only when I like the pattern do I harden the gel!

3. Seal, seal, seal!

Without a good top coat, the look would only be half as beautiful - and above all, not as long-lasting. I prefer to use a high-gloss top coat and seal the design properly.

✔ After curing, wipe with cleaner if necessary to achieve the ultimate shine.

4. Typical mistakes that happened to me in the beginning

❌ Hold the magnet for too long or too short a time – then the effect will either be too strong or barely visible.
❌ Not allowing the paint layer to cure properly can reduce its durability.
❌ Gel layers that are too thick – this causes the pattern to “run” and no longer looks clear.
